Remember that it's important to stay at home during this time. Should you need us for your essential travel, we are here.

Current evidence shows that bike share is a low-risk mode of transport. Cycling is the perfect way to make essential trips and exercise while practising social-distancing. Getting out in the fresh air is also vital for mental health during these times. Customers should feel safe cycling as long as they follow current social distancing recommendations and guidelines set out by the government.

Follow local guidelines to protect yourself and your community.

It is important to not touch your face (including eyes, nose and mouth) during and after cycling.

Obey all local traffic laws and stops.

Insprect your nextbike before you ride.

Always wash hands before and after every cycle ride. Wearing gloves is recommended.

Make sure you're practicing social distancing to reduce the risk of transmission.

In addition to the standard personal hygiene guidelines, our service teams have also

implemented the below:

  • All service team members in the workshop have been provided with gloves for work.
  • Shifts have been adjusted to reduce the number of team members working  at the same time in the workshop.
  • All drivers work alone and have access to masks and gloves. They leave the van windows and doors open and disinfect the inside of the van between shifts.
  • All vans have sealable bins to dispose of cleaning equipment.
  • All deliveries are disinfected.
  • We are using a general multi-surface cleaner antibacterial cleaner and/or alcohol-based solution to wipe down equipment. Each bike is wiped down with one sheet from a blue roll/kitchen roll.
  • Handlebars, lock, and seats are regularly sanitised when they arrive and leave the workshop and when drivers check them in the field.
